Lacrosse goalies aren’t really known for their offensive prowess. Their main duty in the net is to stop goals, not score them.
This, however, was not the case for Bryan Cooper of La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad, CA. Cooper and his Mavericks team were playing at the Adrenaline Challenge in Del Mar, CA, when Cooper saw his opportunity.
After collecting a pass from a teammate who was scrambling to get out of traffic, Cooper hurled the ball the entire length of the field and soared it over the opposing goalies head, one hopping into the net.
What an incredible goal and highlight of the tournament for Cooper. The senior goalie is set to graduate this spring, but is still undecided on where he will take his talents at the college level.
